Description
MILFORD, MA — After a recent retirement, the Milford Board of Sewer Commissioners is seeking a new member.
Member Thomas Morelli stepped down from the board on June 25. This week, the Select Board approved the process for picking a replacement.
Milford residents interested in sitting on the board should send separate letters of interest and resumes to both the Select Board and the Board of Sewer Commissioners. Those letters are due by July 23, and the boards are expected to jointly pick a new member on July 26.
In general, the sewer commissioners oversee the expansion and maintenance of the town's sewer system.
Sewer commissioners are elected, but Morelli's term isn't up until April 2022. The person appointed to the vacancy can run for the seat next year. A sewer commission election was held in April with member Rudolph Lioce III retaining his seat in an uncontested race.
