Description
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead officials will host an online public forum Tuesday night to discuss options for spending coronavirus recovery grant money.
The funding from the Local Rapid Recovery Program is designed to help towns revitalize local businesses that suffered during the pandemic. The plans are meant to be highly action-oriented and seek to develop immediate strategies for short-term recovery.
Marblehead has chosen to focus on its downtown and adjacent areas and is looking for ways to help businesses with online options, develop local shopping programs, investigate using public spaces as permanent outdoor dining and shopping destinations, consider making outdoor dining ordinance changes permanent and address facade improvements and empty storefronts.
The meeting will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and can be accessed here.
