WEST HAVEN, CT — Two beaches in West Haven remain closed due to runoff from the recent storm, officials announced Wednesday.
All of the city's beaches were sampled on Monday and analyzed on Tuesday, according to West Haven Health Director Maureen B. Lillis.
The results showed the bacteria levels were within acceptable limits and the beaches were reopened except for South Street and Sea Bluff Beach, according to Lillis.
South Street and Sea Bluff beaches will remain closed pending lab results on July 15, according to Lillis.
Bathing water samples were taken from the following sites:
South Street Beach
Seaview Beach
