BEVERLY, MA — An educator with more than two decades of classroom and mentoring experience is the new principal of North Beverly Elementary School. Amy Blanchard, who most recently serviced as a literary coach and mentor/induction program coordinator for Beverly Public Schools, started in her new role this month. "I strongly believe that all students have the ability to be successful and to excel in the school environment," Blanchard said. "At North Beverly, our goal is to have students running into the school building every morning and as principal, this will be something that I will strive for each and every day." Prior to coming to Beverly in 2013, Blanchard was a literary coach, district literary support specialist and teacher for Gloucester Public Schools and a teacher at St. Joseph's School in Salem. "Amy has nearly 21 years of experience in education, and from that she has a wealth of knowledge and insight that will help our young students to grow as learners," Beverly Superintendent Charochak said. "I am so thrilled to have her aboard as the new principal of North Beverly Elementary and I am excited to watch her implement new initiatives to help students succeed." Blanchard earned her master's degree in education from Lesley University and a bachelor's degree in education from Salem State University. She also has specialist's degrees in educational leadership and reading from Gordon College. Did you find this article useful? Invite a friend to subscribe to Patch.
