Hello Backyard Chicken Lovers! We have a broody hen (third time in her 1.3 years) who loves being a mother hen! Each time she has gone broody, we have put one baby chick under her, and she has raised them well. Our flock is now plenty large, so we don't need any more chickens, but we would love to let our broody mama raise another one or a whole batch. If you don't want to deal with raising the chicks - the mess, the lamps, having them inside - let our mother hen do the work for you! You are welcome to come and see our set up, can visit them as needed and are welcome to take them home whenever or by 10 weeks of age. We use only non-GMO Modesto Mills feed. Clean water and coop daily. Including photos of our Broody Mama (Wyandotte) and the two girls she has raised - a Welsummer and a Red Sex-Link.
