I am an educator and nanny and will be available starting in August/ September. I have worked in Montessori schools (ages 3-6) and was a teacher in the Oakland Unified School District (grades K-5) for over 15 years. I have 5 years of nanny experience and have been a nanny with my five year old son for three years now. He is a sweet child that is creative, loves to observe things, read books, and play baseball. The kids I worked with this year had an amazing year doing nature based exploration and I am looking to continue this with another couple of children. We usually spend 30-60% of our day outside and in nature (depending on the season). I balance this with fun academics (focused on each child's needs), play, and art.
