Press release from the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library: Julie Bigler 2021-07-13 Curbside Pickup scheduled The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library is celebrating our one-year anniversary of being overdue Fine Free! Coming to the Library should be a fun experience for all.   Everyone in your family can get their own Library card – from birth to 100+ are welcome!  Register for your own Library card or contact us to update or reactivate your account. Register  Anything checked out at HMMPL is overdue fine free, so don't sweat if your items are a little late.  Even though the Library eliminated overdue fines, checked out Library items should still be returned in a timely manner.  Keep in mind that others may be patiently waiting on you to return those materials so they can use them, too. Once an item is overdue 28 days past its last due date, it is assumed lost, the full item cost is billed to your account, and your account may be referred to a collections agency.*  If this happens, your account may be blocked until the items are returned.  Patrons are still responsible for bills associated with lost or damaged materials they check out.  Contact the Circulation desk to resolve bills on your account.   * Exceptions include hotspots, borrowed equipment, and museum passes; these items will be considered lost after they are 7-days overdue.  Due to the expense the Library incurs when referring accounts to collections, the $10 collection fees may remain on the account.
