Job description WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / DELIVERY DRIVER As a Delivery Driver for a Premium Brand, recognized for exceptional quality for over 100 years, superior customer service and timely deliveries are an integral part of this position. This is a full-time, entry level position with ability to move up in the company with demonstrated experience, knowledge, and willingness to learn more about the ins and outs of retail distribution. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Adhering to an early morning delivery schedule and customer needs Upon delivery, you will be responsible for checking in, unloading, as well as obtaining any required signatures. Paying attention to detail and staying alert while driving A professional, positive attitude is expected as you will be interacting with managers, store owners, and associates on a daily basis Loading and unloading freight Securing cargo to avoid damage in transit Making sure products are placed properly in store locations and remove outdated items from retail and service cases. On occasion, pulling orders for delivery at warehouse location QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of experience working in a warehouse or driving a straight truck for deliveries is preferred. Must be an early riser and able to adjust to fluctuating work schedule. Mandatory overtime as necessary is required. Basic mathematics and reading comprehension is a must. Daily access to mobile device with internet/e-mail Well-groomed, neat appearance. Ability to load and unload product up to 50lbs at a time. Candidate must not have been convicted of a felony involving the use of a motor vehicle; a crime using drugs; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or hit-and-run driving that resulted in injury or death. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs; Regularly push/pull carts weighing more than 100 lbs. Driving to customer locations which require sitting for an extended period of time Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl upon reaching delivery locations Occasionally required to climb or balance Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. *Occasionally business needs arise that may require an employee to perform tasks outside the scope of their normal duties.
