SAN DIEGO, CA — U.S. Veterans and their families can visit SeaWorld San Diego for free through Dec. 24, the theme park announced this week. The veterans offer, which has been available since April and was set to expire this summer, has been extended now that the park is operating at full capacity.
"We hold the men and women that have served in our armed forces in the highest regard and are honored to host them at our parks as our guests," said John Dunlap, park president of SeaWorld San Diego. "As the country is returning to a new normal, we wanted to give our veterans more time and flexibility to take advantage of this offer and enjoy a day at the park with their families."
The veterans offer is part of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment's Waves of Honor program, which salutes active-duty military members, veterans and their families by offering special pricing and promotions throughout the year.
Complimentary single-day tickets are available for veterans and up to three dependents to use by Dec. 24. Waves of Honor additionally offers any U.S. active-duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman one complimentary admission for themselves and up to three dependents each year to SeaWorld.
Since its launch in 2005, more than 10 million guests — active-duty military members, veterans and their families — have visited the SeaWorld theme parks in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio for free through the Waves of Honor program, according to SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
