INDIO, CA — A dead man was found floating in an Indio canal Tuesday. The body was discovered at about 9:40 a.m. by a person fishing near the Four Seasons at Terra Lago, in the area of Avenue 42 and Golf Center Parkway, according to Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron. Guitron said Indio police officers were still awaiting the arrival of a Riverside County sheriff's dive team to assist in retrieving the body as of early Tuesday afternoon. His identity was not immediately released, and the circumstances surrounding the man's death were unclear.
