Park District CORE Closed Friday Morning For Conservation Program

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Park District's CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex will be closed Friday morning as part of Direct Energy's Response Incentive Program. As part of the program, which focuses on energy conservation, the park district will participate in a response test from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. The park district said the CORE will be closed during the test, and there will be no group fitness classes or pickle ball. The Centennial Community Center and the Centennial Outdoor Aquatic Center will remain open, and if weather is extreme, the community center will be a cooling center during this time frame. The park district said there are two ways to participate in the conservation program; by reducing energy during peak times or by an annual test.
