JOLIET, IL — A 22-year-old Chicago woman who was visiting the Will County Jail on Monday is now in custody facing felony charges after Will County prosecutors say Titeana Washington pulled a fire alarm inside the Will County Adult Detention Facility on Monday. The criminal complaint states that Washington pulled the fire alarm at 95 South Chicago St. in Joliet despite "knowing at the time of the transmission that there is no reasonable ground for believing that the fire exists." Washington was booked into custody at 7:20 p.m. Her bail has been set at $1,000. As of Wednesday, she remained incarcerated, unable to post the necessary 10 percent. According to court records, Washington's bail will be considered satisfied by serving four days in custody. The Chicago woman faces another pending criminal charge in Will County. On March 25, Will County prosecutors charged Washington with criminal trespass. According to Joliet police, Washington entered a woman's property in Joliet in the 300 block of North Bluff Street "after receiving, prior to entry, notice from the owner or occupant that entry is forbidden." Washington also faces a battery charge in connection with the same incident on North Bluff Street. The criminal complaint states that Washington struck the woman who lives at the apartment unit "about the body."
