DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Sheriff's Office is offering a Citizens Sheriff's Academy program this fall.
The 8-10 week program runs once a week starting Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. The class will take place at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown.
The courses will cover court operations, warrant services, civil processes, firearms licenses, real estate sales, court security, court trials, active shooter responses, the prison system and general functions of the sheriff's office.
The application deadline is Aug. 2. Classes are limited to 30 people or less.
