LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles firefighters made quick work of a small grass fire that burned a half-acre in Baldwin Hills Wednesday afternoon.
The first fire engine on the scene was able to contain the blaze in under 20 minutes, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The fire was first reported at 12:12 p.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of West Glenford St, and it was out before 12:30 p.m. The flames were burning uphill in light-to-moderate fuel at a slow rate of spread, according to Prange.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Prange said.
No one was injured, and no structures were threatened by the fire.
