Press release from the City of Phoenix:
July 13, 2021 9:00 AM
Every year, I look forward to welcoming our new kindergarteners.
Kindergarten is a big step in your child's education, and there are things you can do this summer to help them get ready for that exciting first day of kinder.
Your Phoenix Public Library has great summer programs like Kindergarten Boot Camp and Story Times. There are also fun activities that you can do at home.
Have a regular bedtime and morning routines. Encourage their independence, like washing their hands by themselves. Scribble and draw on paper with crayons. Make time to read together for at least 20 minutes a day.
Go to FirstThingsFirst.org for more ways to help your child be ready for school success.
