The sandblasting employee with sand will abrade surfaces of metal or hard
objects and remove adhering scale, paint, rust, oxides and any other surface
imperfections to achieve specified finish using abrasive-blasting equipment.
The employee will shovel or pours abrasives such as sand, grit or shot of
specified grade into machine hopper and load parts on racks in enclosed rooms
into tumbling barrels or into cabinets. Employee will turn valves on equipment
to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixture flowing through nozzle
or into tumbling barrels. Employee will annually direct nozzle over surface of
parts or inserts arms through glove fitted cabinet openings and manipulate small
parts under nozzle for specified intervals. Employee may examine finished parts
to ensure conformance to specifications.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. WILL TRAIN.
