Description

Objective: Contributes to the growth and profitability of the company by performing off- site customer service efforts. Basic Function: Responsible for site-inspection, troubleshooting, repair work and special projects. Essential Functions: • Performs all field repairs and changes orders per specified engineering • Field investigates customer concerns when warranted • Adhere to all The Truss Company safety policies and procedures Additional Duties: • Assist in truss production and maintenance when not on service calls performing duties assigned by Manager • Other duties and special projects as assigned by Manager • Work overtime when necessary to complete field repairs Required Knowledge and Skills: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required • Able to operate a vehicle and have a valid drivers license • Solid experience operating power tools • 2+ years of truss production experience (preferred, not required) Skills/Abilities: • Ability to read and interpret layouts • Good math skills, ability to perform all necessary calculations • Strong communication and customer service skills • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Employ pride of workmanship • Safe work practices Internal/External Contacts: • General Manager • Operations Manager • Design Department • Truss Department Working Conditions: • Work in outdoor conditions • Able to work at heights of up to 20’ • Regular local travel (Valid Driver’s License Required) • Overtime as required Physical Requirement: • Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs. • Ability to lift weight on a repetitive and frequent basis • Requires bending, lifting and climbing • Must wear personal protective equipment
