I will answer real slowly for you, Do......you......know.....how......to......cut.....and......paste? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/13/more-than-10-hour-wait-and-long-lines-as-early-voting-starts-in-georgia https://www.npr.org/2020/10/ /georgia-voters-face-hours-long-lines-at-polls-on-first-day-of-early-voting https://www.blackenterprise.com/georgia-voters-wait-8-hours-in-line-to-vote-early/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/elections/voting-lines-2020-election/ https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/11/no-one-in-america-should-have-to-wait-7-hours-to-vote/264506/ https://www.statesman.com/news/20200309/fact-check-what-caused-voting-delays-in-texas-on-super-tuesday https://www.insideedition.com/georgia-voters-reporting-lines-stretching-up-to-10-hours-and-technical-glitches-62391 Now....what.....is.....going.....to.......happen......when......in......person.......voting......is.......the.......only.......option? What about mail in voting? is there a question there? Mail in voting is what they are trying to eliminate or restrict in some republican controlled states. Here is an example of one of the new laws in Texas, TX SB7: A qualified voter is eligible for early voting by mail if the voter is not capable of [ has a sickness or physical condition that prevents the voter from ] appearing at the polling place on election day without [ a likelihood of ] needing personal assistance or [ of ] injuring the voter's health due to the voter's: (1) illness; (2) injury; (3) medical confinement ordered by a health care professional; or (4) mental or physical disability. Among the new reasons that would NOT qualify a voter to vote by mail: a lack of transportation or a requirement “to appear at the voter’s place of employment on election day.” In other words if you have to work on the days the polls are open you are screwed and if it takes hours to get through the lines doing it before or after work may not be an option either. And I didn't say employers did restrict people from voting since they could just vote by mail up until now, but after these new laws are passed they could if they wanted to. So you better re-read my original post but.... more..... slowly..... this..... time. But like I said these new laws will make it more difficult for republicans to vote as well so in the grand scheme of things it may not make as big of a difference as the republican party is hoping for. As far as ID requirements go I have no problem with the new laws there.
