We seek a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join our jewelry store team as a jewelry repair intake clerk. This position is available to be filled immediately. We prefer an experienced individual in the jewelry or related field but can train the right person. Employment: Full-time Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 9:30am-5:00pm Compensation for an entry-level candidate: $15.00 per hour Compensation for Experienced Candidates: Depends on experience and gemological education - Please send us your resume. Other compensation: Paid holidays Merchandise discounts One week paid of vacation time after one year of employment Paid tuition to GIA- After one year of employment Plenty of growth opportunities Small but mighty work environment As a jewelry repair intake clerk, your responsibilities will be to assist clients entering our workshop/retail shop by carefully inspecting jewelry + watches (including vintage and antique), processing repair forms, quoting prices, and recommending necessary repairs. You will also be assisting clients with re-designs and minor repairs like watch link removals and watch battery replacements. Quality control after the repair is complete to ensure we've met the client's expectations as stated on the intake forms. Other responsibilities include showing clients jewelry and assisting with jewelry displays, processing cash and credit card payments. If you are looking to learn new skills in the jewelry field, this may be an excellent job for you as we will train you to complete minor repairs on watches like removing watch links and changing watch batteries. Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Computer literate Knowledge of jewelry, gemstones, or design Be able to pass a background check GIA or equivalent certifications We are a non-smoking work environment.
