The Herlong Bed & Breakfast is hiring We are looking for a Housekeeper! Desired qualities include positivity, integrity, patience, and a sharp attention to detail. We are a small, hardworking team, and positive communication and focused work ethic is a must. Responsibilities include - Laundry - Cleaning guest bedrooms and two guest cottages - Maintaining the cleanliness of the Mansion - Maintaining the cleanliness of our event space, the Long Hall - Communicating with other staff about maintenance and guest requests - Responding to reasonable requests or complaints with professionalism Applicants must be comfortable walking up and down three flights of stairs, lifting and bending. Must have a genuine love for customer service; be happy working independently and collaboratively; be able to prioritize tasks and stay organized; and respond calmly to unexpected changes and last minute requests. Position is 9:00am - 3:00pm, 4-5 days per week. Hours are somewhat flexible and may be shorter or longer depending on Herlong or Employee needs. Located in Micanopy, Florida (15 minutes south of Gainesville), the Herlong is a historic, three story home originally built in 1845. Our guests are local, national, and international.
