Alta California Roundwood is an Anderson CA lumber mill that responsibly harvests, mills and manufactures campsite firewood. We also are developing partnerships in renewable energy with our Anderson Biomass Complex. We are always looking for dependable, safe, and energetic people. * * Alta California Roundwood’s (ACR) production workers have the unique opportunity to cross-train among different roles within the mill, learning skills for multiple areas of the company. Production workers are trained on machine operator jobs, forklift skills, and other unique machinery use skills. * * We are looking for people that are safety oriented and have good, current, verifiable work history in a fast-paced environment. Work environment is very fast-paced, repetitive in nature and physically demanding. * * Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Machine operator of mill machinery and rolling stock Production work within the mill which includes stacking, packaging, and operation of machinery, reporting on maintenance needs Ability to work in a team environment Maintain clean, clear, organized work environment Timely and regular attendance and safe work habit Adhere to all company safety policies, practices and procedures Read and understand the SOP (standard operating procedures) in the company. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age or older Able to work in all weather conditions/temperatures Able to continually perform repetitive tasks and stand/walk on concrete and/or other hard surfaces for extended periods of time Have excellent attendance Able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 10 hours a day, and be willing to work overtime if needed Possess good communication skills and work well as a team setting. Move quickly, consistently and safely to keep up with the current flow of production. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Experience in a sawmill environment is not required as long as candidate has a positive attitude and is willing to be trained to work in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test * * Work Location: Anderson CA HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Full time at 40+ Hours a week Monday - Friday, some weekend work Pay Rate: Depending on experience
