$25 an hour + Personal Vehicle Use or Per Job Flat Rate (open for discussion). Radon Control Services is a small family owned and operated company in Pittsburgh and is one of the leading radon mitigation firms in the region. We are currently seeking applicants for a part time to potential full-time entry level position installing radon mitigation systems in Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania. Experience in construction, general labor and/or carpentry is required. A high school diploma/GED is also required. Training will be provided, with opportunities to advance. Candidates should have general construction knowledge, including the use of power tools (drills, roto-hammers, pipe cutting and gluing) basic residential electrical wiring, plumbing, home construction, roofing, etc. Knowledge of a home’s foundation with the ability to visualize system placement, experience and/or ability to run PVC Pipe a must. Work occurs both indoors and outdoors (in all weather), in crawlspaces and attics, and on extension ladders. Involves light to moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and installing roof flashings (for pipe penetrations). Must be able to work in tight spaces (i.e. climb/pull self into attic spaces and maneuver thru ductwork, insulation and beam trusses safely). Those looking to advance must be highly motivated, positive outlook, good communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Candidates should have references, and be willing to undergo a background check and basic drug test. Current driver's license and a good driving record is a prerequisite and be willing to provide own truck or van (will pay additional per job for use of personal vehicle).
