Assistant to Well/Septic Inspector Needed

Builder Buddy is a growing inspection company based out of Asheville. We currently have 3 inspectors and an office manager. Our mission is to help buyers, sellers and homeowners better understand residential properties. Our Lead Well and Septic Inspector needs help between now and around mid-September- approximately 30 hours a week. There may be a possibility for full-time employment and growth opportunities beyond this time-frame. The Assistant will meet our Inspector at his house in Historic West Asheville in the mornings and will ride with him in the company vehicle to 2-4 different job sites a day. The Assistant will help with septic, well and sewer inspection and radon/water testing. This position requires the hiree to be in good physical condition, that they are able to work outdoors, and the ability to lift large and/or heavy objects. The Assistant is to help the inspector primarily with septic inspections- the bulk of the work will be assisting to locate and dig access to the septic tank and the distribution box, opening/lowering lids and to bury the tank and clean the work-site. There will also be longer periods of rest and downtime while traveling between sites. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who like outdoor physical work while enjoying scenic drives, and learning new skills. Training will be provided however special consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience (septic/well/plumbing/etc...).
