If you enjoy helping others, playing in the dirt growing quality food, herbs and flowers, then you may be happy at this farm. Must be a non tobacco smoker and 3 hours minimum are requested of your time/day. If you have garden tools like a hoe, a hula hoe and rake, you'll be most helpful in weed eradication and finishing the farms infrastructure. The farm, which is designed as an edible maze, is headed toward 100% carbon capture and is feeding South Bay folks and critters in need. If you are interested, please email, introducing yourself and include ALL of the following to be considered and receive a reply in return: 1. Your first name; 2. Your gardening background; 3. Your location; 4. Date you'd like to help; 5. Hours that day you are available; 6. Tools you can bring. Volunteers are welcome to pick veggies for themselves, that are available the day you assist. A delicious meal is also offered, if you around when it's being served. Some volunteers stay all day and are welcome to brunch and an early dinner. Please bring your tablesettings, cup, utensils, water to stay hydrated, a chair and umbrella for your breaks. With the pandemic we're unable to share our belongings until no more cases are around. The farm is probably the coolest place around, with a steady breeze from the beach during the heat of the day. So far, days have been in the 70's and perfect working conditions.
