The Role The Digifabshop Production Manager has overall responsibility for the production goals, coordination, and day-to-day management of architectural wood and metal work manufacturing processes by planning production, maintaining quality control standards, and improving fabrication methods. The Digifabshop Production Manager will work closely with the Production Scheduler and the leadership groups within Project Management, Project Engineering, Accounting, Operations and Logistics to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, meeting or exceeding quality standards, while minimizing delays and rework. This role will also align and work closely with the development of Lean principles and those charges with the journey. Experience within a growth based organization, and the ability to scale production operations, is highly desired. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Oversees day-to-day shop production activities; fast paced, energetic environment covering many aspects of wood and metal based millwork and fabrication Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with all legal regulations and OSHA requirements Building KPIs and metrics that identify efficiency and productivity at a resource, task, operation, job, project, product group and execute on a built plan of progression and continuous improvement Coordinates incessantly on scheduling and with the scheduling team Meets production goals by supervising manufacturing timelines and ensuring end-product quality standards are exceeded Works with Purchasing to maintain production item inventory and supply levels; anticipating material shortages and stock item quantities needed to fill orders Observes fabrication techniques and processes with a careful eye and works to improve them Controls and minimizes labor overtime whenever possible by maximizing throughput Works with Team Leaders to train and oversee new employee on-boarding and development; communicating job expectations, appraising contributions, and resolving conflicts where and when necessary Proactively seeks continuous improvement and professional development Meaningfully contribute to team meetings, training, policies, strategy and culture Perform other related duties as required Skills & Background ERP experience ERP implementation preferred (Epicor is the platform utilized) The ability to read and understand 3D renderings, digital architectural drawings, and custom millwork shop drawings A working knowledge of hardware and materials common in architectural fabrication Excellent oral and written communication skills The ability to identify complex problems and development innovative solutions Attentive, considerate, inquisitive and empathetic to others Exceptional time management skills Lifelong learner Benefits Health Dental Vision LTD & STD Life 401(k) www.digifabshop.com Instagram Vimeo Facebook Digifabshop is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
