Description
I recently bought this trio of young society finches from a fantastic show breeder in Washington and they are not working out in my apartment as they are much louder than I anticipated from my research. One is confirmed male, one is confirmed female, the grey and black is yet unknown but seems female. These are beautiful birds, I just treated them with Moxivet+ so they are free of worms, mites, and other parasites, and they would make a fantastic addition to any society breeding program in a few months as they are still young birds. They have been properly quarantined (excuse the quarantine cage/fancy cardboard perch :))
These are the rare "Euro" societies so are bigger than your typical American society finch and they do not carry the white pied gene. Two are black/brown self and one is black/grey self (grey is a recessive gene) and they may be split for -ino and pearl. They will produce beautiful chicks that will win shows and are lively, healthy, feisty birds.. I waited a month and drove nearly to Canada to pick them up and am only asking what I paid to recoup my loss at $80 each but would do $220 for all to hopefully get them placed together. I would be interested in trading them for owl finches or spice finches as those are much quieter species that fit my needs better. They do not come with a cage but will come with some food.
