This is in "like new" condition. It is light-weight and folds and can be moved around easily. My little dog would lie on it but easily became distracted and wanted to play with her toys. Maybe that is because I have it in an air-conditioned house.
This works when your dog or cat lies on it and his/her body heat activates the gel inside the mat. The pet should lie on it for a couple of minutes for this to take place. It would probably work best in a warm area. But it is smooth and cool on the outside even before your pet's body heat begins to start the cooling process.
