Latinas Who Dare is a Colorado-based organization whose mission it is to DARE Latinas close their own wage gap by empowering them to start and grow a business of their own. Latinas living in the U.S. earn just $0.55 to every dollar earned by a white male. Over the course of a 40-year career that amounts to $1,121,440.00 in LOST INCOME just for being Latina. I launched Latinas Who Dare on July 18th 2020 to bring awareness to this issue and to encourage Latinas to take back control of their wealth and finances. Mercado Mariposa is a celebration of my 1-year anniversary of launching Latinas Who Dare. My community has grown organically and beautifully over the course of one year and I have no plans of stopping its growth. This event is an opportunity for Colorado-based Latina entrepreneurs to have their products and services BE SEEN and to help their small business take flight. Butterflies are very symbolic in the Latino community as so many of us migrate to this country in search of a better life. Attend this event and choose to support Latina-owned businesses. Help close this ridiculous wage gap because nobody has time for scarcity after what happened in 2020.
