Hiring a Camp Manager for a remote camp in Alaska Responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of remote camps. Also includes customer service, camp staff management and direction, equipment maintenance and repair, record keeping, and ordering supplies. Work performed independently within established company policies and procedures. • Ensure orderly camp environment • Check and refuel all fuel burning appliances • Check and maintain operation of bathroom facilities • Check and maintain water systems including hauling or pumping water, changing filters, running filter systems as needed. • Dispose of camp garbage • Pre-operation vehicle inspection • Operate incinerator if necessary • Manage camp resupply • Plan for camp staff rotation • Generator and vehicle maintenance • Conduct camp orientation for new arrivals (clients and staff) • Communicate accurate weather for aircraft operation • Repair or swap out appliances • Maintain safety equipment • Repair plumbing (fix leaks, swap out pumps, etc) • Safely drain water from fuel containments • Repair or replace electrical equipment • Clean, adjust or swap out oil-drip heaters • Knowledge of building construction, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills • Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance • Ability to safely use basic power and hand tools • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems • Ability to repair common appliances • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance • Computer: word, spreadsheets • This job operates in a remote environment, but routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and other as required for specific clients • Able to manage multiple tasks • Time management skills • Team player: good collaboration ability and communication skills • Detail oriented • Organization • Ethical conduct • Leadership • Decision making, problem solving/analysis • Customer/client focus • Occasionally serve as backup for other departments Travel is required to and from remote sites on a regular basis. This may include, but is not limited to; Commercial flights, charter fixed wing aircraft, helicopter, barge, road travel. Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices. This job operates in a remote field environment. Work schedule is typically 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and available for anything that may arise 24 hours a day. Extended hours may be necessary during busy periods. Must be able to lift 50-pounds. Full-Time/Seasonal
