Kennel Attendant/Animal Caregiver Job Summary As a Kennel Attendant/Animal Caregiver you will be responsible for delivering first-class care to our boarding guests and hospitalized patients. From exercise to the environment, their care is in your hands. You observe their health, administer medication and provide a vital communications link. Qualifications * Experience which demonstrates strong dog and cat handling skills and comfort around animals of all sizes and temperaments * Skills for working with computers, and for providing terrific customer service to clients * Honest and dependable personality traits * Work habits for working independently and part of a team, to multi-task and pay attention to detail * Physical abilities to lift 40+ pounds, stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time * Availability for flexible scheduling and working weekends Description Provide essential care for our hospitalized and boarding pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets. Feed and exercise pets. Get to know them individually to keep an eye out for signs of illness. Maintain cleanliness with general janitorial responsibility for laundry, garbage, dishes, sweeping, mopping, etc. Bathe and lightly groom the pets. Administer medications. Assist Veterinarians and Technicians with procedures as needed. Conduct professional, yet personal, daily communications with clients on the status of their animal family member. The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and includes a strong benefits package.
