BROOKLINE, MA — Two Brookline residents and local leaders in business and philanthropic thought have opened a new modern social club in Boston's Back Bay. Sandy and Paul Edgerley, joined by Acting Mayor of Boston Kim Janey, officially opened the doors to The 'Quin House on Wednesday. The 'Quin House, formerly the Algonquin Club, is located at 217 Commonwealth Avenue inside a 56,000 square foot, six-floor historic building that was originally constructed in 1888 by McKim, Mead & White. Reimagined by interior designer Ken Fulk, it includes four restaurants, six lounges, three bars, eight guest quarters, a roof deck, a fitness center, and private event spaces. The Edgerleys designed The 'Quin House to be a space where meaningful connections happen through unexpected encounters. Everything inside is based on the importance of stimulating the mind, body, and spirit. "Luckily, Boston is full of vibrant, extraordinary people with diverse experiences," says the club's website.
