A premier Property Management Company in San Francisco is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for a high rise condominium in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Housekeeper, acting under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and Onsite Manager, performs light housekeeping tasks inside residential condominium units to satisfy an amenity provided to condominium owners and residents. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all residential units. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Includes, but not limited to: • Service residential units as instructed by Housekeeping Supervisor. • Provide light housekeeping services by using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes and/or cleaning agents by tending arms over head, bending and stooping. • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to property requirements. • Push and pull a vacuum throughout designated areas of the residential units. • Remove and transport garbage and recycling from residential units to the trash chute on each residential floor if garbage and recycling is left by residents in proper bags and/or containers. • Change bed linens if beds are stripped and clean linens are placed on top of beds. • Successful completion of the training process. • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with residents, co-workers and management to their understanding. • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision. • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance. • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with coworkers and residents. WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation. DESIRABLE: 1. Prior housekeeping services. 2. Knowledge of proper equipment usage and repair. 3. High school or equivalent vocational school training. 4. Prior guest relations experience / training. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the functions of this job. Frequent stooping, standing, walking, sitting and reaching are required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job: • Frequent bending/kneeling – frequent bending and kneeling to service residential units. • Mobility – walking to and from break room, residential tower and units. • Continuous standing / walking. • Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, push or pull materials and equipment, and lift and/or carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. • Ability to push or pull a vacuum and wheeled carts weighing up to 50 pounds. An individual will be exposed to the following while performing the functions of this job: • Interior environmental elements. • Repetitive movements. • Cleaning supplies and equipment. Local candidates preferred. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
