Description

A poll conducted by Purdue University proved that 62% of people who are registered as republican voters are pleased that Trump lost. The poll indicates that despite the fact that Trump calls himself a “republican” the majority of republican voters do not feel like the former president represented them well. Many republicans do not believe that Trump is a republican at all. In fact, Trump was a registered Democrat for many years. It is also know that Trump has neglected to vote in nearly every election prior to his own in 2016. Traditionally, Trump has never really bothered to vote. This would indicate that he has very little interest in politics at all. While Trump was in office he did remarkably little to further ANY fellow republicans cause or agenda. Trump basically ignored all of his co-republicans requests to help pass bills and legislature. Instead, Trump tried to pander to his base. Trump felt he was in a sort of popularity contest rather than in office. So it is not difficult to see how traditional conservative republicans felt let down by Donald Trump. They felt like his presidency was more of a continuation of his reality TV show than it was an opportunity for the party to progress. Placing Donald Trump in office was like placing a self centered egotistical attention whore Allstar player on your NFL team. The players credentials do not outweigh the fact that one player an disrupt the entire teams game. One bad seed can affect the entire team. This is why many republicans dislike Trump.
