COLUMBIA, MD — From reggae to pop music and open mic nights for local performers, there's plenty of entertainment in store this summer through the Color Burst Park Summer Series, Amped in the Park.
Performances and classes are held in downtown Columbia's Merriweather District, with crowds of 400 to 500 turning out for the music.
A second concert series, called Good Kid-izen also is offered as a celebration of inclusion, diversity and education. Several open mic nights also are set, called Words on the Street, and a series of two fitness classes also will take place in the park.
This Wednesday, July 14, Color Burst Park is continuing its free AMPED in the Park series at 6 p.m. with a concert featuring the reggae music of Jah Works.
There will be music, food, outdoor games, glow sticks and more.
Register for the concerts and fitness classes in advance.
