Truck Driver Class A United Freight Service is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our growing team. We are looking for a go-getter with high energy and have the ability to learn and adapt to change. This position is full-time and will be OTR majority of the time. We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. We believe in a healthy work life balance and great pay for PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS! We Pay 45 Cents Per Mile Driving Reefer or Dry Van loads. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license REQUIREMENTS 3-year clean MVR with no violations Valid Class A Commercial driver’s license Must have a Smartphone Must pass a background check Minimum Lifting - 1 year experience Need DOT medical card 3 years driving experience No DUIs Pallet jack and liftgate experience (preferred) Must be able to manage all paperwork Hours - Vary(OUT UP TO 3 WEEKS) License: Driver's License (Required) - Class A Type of Freight: Dry Vans REEFERS UPON THE INTERVIEW PROCESS WE WILL ALSO DISCUSS BONUS PAY(S) FOR: PERFORMANCE AND TIMELY DELIVERIES SAFTEY CONSISTANCY TAKING ON EXTRA LOADS ALONG WITH OTHERS.
