Marina / Yard Assistant If you are interested in being around boats and the people who earn a living working on them, we are interested in having you join our team. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hard working individual who is anxious to learn a trade that is underserved nationwide. You are willing to start at the bottom as the saying goes and do whatever you can do to help your fellow team members meet our customer's needs. Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities • You have a high regard for somebody who is willing to explain / teach something to you • You listen well and generally do not need to be told the same thing twice • You always ask questions if you aren’t 100% sure how to solve a problem • You feel that you have some mechanical aptitude • You understand that your job includes helping in any capacity that you are qualified for • Jobs that you do will include tasks such as: o Moving boats in the marina o Cleaning up, washing and detailing boats o Sanding and painting boat bottoms o Driving a forklift o Driving a boat (if qualified) o Helping mechanics as necessary o Helping inflatable technicians as necessary o Running / delivering parts o Learning how to be a more valuable employee Apprentice Requirements and Qualifications • Boat and boating industry experience (preferred) • Boat handling experience (preferred / training available) Salary & Benfits • Hourly wage DOE • Health and dental insurance • PTO • Some flexible work options Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
