AUSTIN, TX — A man is dead and two others were hospitalized after a shooting in northwest Austin, authorities said. The shooting incident took place around 11:30 p.m. Monday at the 10200 block of Missel Thrush Drive off of Anderson Mill Road, Austin-Travis County EMS said in a tweet Monday. #ATCEMS, @Austin_Police & @AustinFireInfo are on scene of a reported Gunshot Wound Incident at 10200blk Missel Thrush Dr (23:37). #ATCEMSMedics on scene reporting a total of 4 patients have been assaulted, 2 that are reportedly shot. Avoid the area. More information to follow.— ATCEMS (@ATCEMS) July 13, 2021 When EMS arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound in the street and attempted life-saving measures; however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. The man's identity has yet to be released. Police said two other women were found at the scene and said they were assaulted, but not shot. The two victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this time, authorities do not have any information on a shooter, but are urging people to come forward with any information on the shooting incident.
