Person Killed In Fatal Crash On Mopac Expressway Identified

AUSTIN, TX — A person killed in a fatal car crash on Mopac Expressway during Fourth of July weekend has been identified, police said Friday. Leslie Doleshal, 76, was killed on Saturday, July 3 after his car was struck by a truck traveling in the 11100 block South Mopac Expressway. Police said around 12:06 p.m., the black Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound on the expressway when Doleshal, who was driving a Honda Civic, was exiting a private drive and failed to yield the right of way to the truck. The driver and passenger of the Toyota as well as Doleshal were taken to a nearby hospital. The 76-year-old later died of his injuries at 4:05 p.m., authorities said.
