LONG VALLEY, NJ — Kids who want to head to camp this summer without leaving home can still take part in science camp thanks to a "Super Science box." Washington Township Recreation is co-hosting the program along with Super Science, which specializes in a "Camp in a Box" for kids between the ages of 6 and 12. The program, spearheaded by Super Science owner Dan Weissman, offers seven programs for kids to work on at home including: Diggin for Dinosaurs Rockin' Rocks & Crystal CreationsCSI (crime scene investigation)Super Science STEAM Challenge Junior PhysiciansSuper Science Make & TakeChemical WizardryMini Robotics (sphero and Bristlebots)Parents can click here to make a non-refundable payment and sign their kids up for the program by Aug. 6. Along with one of the programs, each child registered will have mailed to them via First Class mail all they need in the box for camp, plus get YouTube video lessons with Weissman walking them through their program; and live interactions with a certified teacher. Teachers can also provide live support for kids and parents over the phone, by email and on FaceTime each day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Aug. 13.
