DuPage County COVID-19 Clinic Scales Down As 'Pandemic Evolves'

WHEATON, IL — DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) plans to close its community coronavirus vaccination clinic at DuPage County Fairgrounds and offer mobile vaccine clinics via its Care Van. The focus on mobile vaccines comes "as the pandemic evolves," a news release from DCHD stated. The community vaccination clinic, which will close after July 17, has provided over 100,000 coronavirus vaccine doses to residents. "This achievement, along with more than 80 percent of our eligible residents vaccinated with their first dose, represents an important milestone for our community and allows us to shift our efforts in bringing these safe and highly effective vaccines directly to communities," DCHD Executive Director Karen Ayala said in the news release. Starting July 19, residents can visit the county's Central Public Health Center at 111 N. County Farm Rd. for walk-in vaccinations, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. DCHD's Care Van will make stops throughout the county to offer Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines to residents.
