Description
Rocket Composites, Inc. specializes in the design, development and manufacturing of specialized carbon fiber composite products. Our products are utilized in Aerospace, Defense, Medical, Automotive and Recreational industries. We are hiring extraordinary manufacturing talent to join our production operations. You will apply principles of lean manufacturing to produce composite components in the most efficient way. You will be collaborating with the fellow employees, production supervisors, and engineers to continuously improve processes and products, and ensure all production activities are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner respecting our quality standards. Our team of approximately 20 people is comprised of engineers, technicians, and administrative support who all share a passion for transforming raw materials into real world products. We strongly believe in working with and developing individual’s strengths. Many of our staff members are cross trained on a variety of processes and techniques, and we encourage continual improvement and expansion of technical knowledge. Responsibilities: • Independently and collaboratively, fabricate composite components • Operate sandblaster, de-burring tools, belt sander, hand sanding tools • Operate hydraulic press, measurement tools, laminating tools • Operate CNC router for trimming of laminate materials • Use web-based system to reference work instructions and document assigned tasks • Maintain high standards of workmanship, calling attention to any quality issues that are noted • Use precision calibrated tools - micrometers, calipers, thermal and pressure gages. • Independently perform verifications and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment with branding, communications, production, and engineering teams for ongoing product development insights Qualifications: • High school diploma/GED • 1+ years of manufacturing, or production experience in automotive, aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment • Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical devices • Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage applications • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing • Ability to read/understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports • Experience self-checking work to quality standards We welcome you to apply even if you don’t match every requirement posted for this role.
