Here are the top stories in Sacramento today: In an effort to revitalize the downtown after COVID, businesses are offering incentives to employees to return to the office and begin to frequent their favorite downtown haunts again. The foot traffic has changed dramatically since the pandemic hit and businesses want downtown employees to know they are missed. Giveaways will include prizes like VIP passes to the Aftershock music festival, tickets to the Tower Bridge Dinner. (CBS Sacramento) California Capital Airshow returns to Sacramento region in this fall, but capacity will be limited. The airshow will be held Sept. 24 to 26 and will feature U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and F-35 Lightning jet demonstration teams. Capacity will be capped at 50% of past shows. Because of the capacity limitations, organizers are added a "drive in" air show. Tickets go on sale July 19 and are expected to go fast! (KCRA3)A guaranteed income program has been rolled out in Sacramento County. This type of program was successfully run in Stockton as a pilot and has since taken hold nation-wide. A hundred families have been selected to receive $300 per month for the next 2 years with no strings attached. The program for Sacramento County residents is being operated and funded by United Way with help from nonprofit UpTogether. (KCRA3)If you want to see an authentic gold rush village rarely seen by those of us in this century, head out to Folsom Lake. The waters have receded so much due to the drought that Mormon Island, usually covered by water, is being exposed. Visitors will see building foundations, broken pottery and other remnants of life in the 1840's. (FOX40)He started in Go Karts now this 18 year old local is ready for his first NASA (National Auto Sport Association) Teen Mazda Challenge. He'll be vying for a $10,000 scholarship applicable to a season of racing in the professional sports car series. Join him for a humorous and candid discussion of his experience of a lifetime of being Black in predominantly White spaces. (5 pm) Don't forget Trivia Night at the University of Beer! I hear the more craft brew you imbibe the better your trivia skills! I might have heard that from someone on a different team, though... (8 pm) What's a karaoke dance party?
