MONTGOMERY, IL — A 29-year-old woman was arrested earlier this month in connection with a domestic disturbance incident in which a gun was fired, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office announced. Police arrested Ashley Medina, of Rockford, after responding to a 5:40 a.m. domestic disturbance call on July 2 in Montgomery. Originally, two people were arrested, and a firearm was recovered, police said in a statement. But after questioning, the other person was released with no charges. No injuries were reported, but Medina is charged with endangering the health and safety of a child along with two felonies including reckless discharge of a firearm. The incident took place at an apartment on the 100 block of East Mill Street.
