Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: -Performs journey level trades work on building HVAC systems, programs, and updates automatic building system controls -Performs Preventive Maintenance (PMs) duties on major building systems, primarily but not limited to heating and air conditioning systems -Supervises contractors conducting repairs and installation on same equipment -Contributes to the development of specifications and design for upgrades and replacement projects involving the HVAC systems -Performs semi-skilled trades work in a variety of areas such as welding, carpentry, masonry, mechanical, maintenance, minor electrical, and minor plumbing -Inspects facilities and equipment to identify construction, equipment, and mechanical needs; maintains records and prepares reports, which includes estimating materials, labor, and equipment costs -Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and reports regarding major building systems -Operates and maintains lightweight and heavy equipment/vehicles in connection with assigned duties and responsibilities -Operates 1 ton and under light duty snow removal equipment -Operates 1 ton and under light duty trucks, ATV, and forklift -Works from blueprints, sketches, plans, and designs in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, equipment, and facility structures; assists other trades workers in the repair, maintenance and servicing of equipment and facilities Our ideal candidate will have: -Ability to read building as-built drawing of facilities -Experience performing inspection work -HVAC Experience We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: -Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate. -Experience Requirement: Completion of a trade’s apprenticeship program or three (3) years of experience as an apprentice or two (2) years of experience as a Maintenance Technician. -Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements. -License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. -Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
