BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Republican congressional representative for Bucks County raised more than $1.1 million in the second quarter of 2021, a personal best, according to a report by PoliticsPA.
The campaign for Rep . Brian Fitzpatrick raised that amount from the beginning of April to the end of June, beating a previous fundraising record of $945,000 in the third quarter of 2020, the report noted.
It's also a significant increase from the first quarter of 2021, when his campaign reportedly raised $360,000, according to a spending report filed with the Federal Election Commission under the committee name "Brian Fitzpatrick For All Of Us".
"Thank you to everyone in our community who continue to rally around our People's Movement of bipartisanship and problem solving, and rejecting the bigotry of hyper-partisanship," Fitzpatrick reportedly wrote in a statement to the news website. "I will continue to have your back, and I will continue to fight tooth and nail every single day for your families and for our One Community."
In the 2020 election, Fitzpatrick handily defeated Democratic challenger Christina Finello to win a third term in Congress. He recently told The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jonathan Tamari that he would not rule out a run for Senate in 2022.
