Description
I am part of an informal jam group that tries to play once a week or so. Due to COVID, our access to indoor playing space has become sporadic, at best. So we play outdoors quite a bit now. But with the heat, even that has become a bit problematic.
So I was considering the idea of installing a misting system at one of the outdoor venues we have available, which is owned by a relative. Some of the people have expressed concern, however, that the humidity might be hard on the instruments. Especially wooden acoustic instruments.
I have heard a lot of comments and opinions from people that have no experience with playing in an area cooled by a misting system. Now I want to hear from people that have ACTUALLY played in those conditions.
If you have played in a misted area, did you experience any harm to your instrument(s) due to the mist?
How much time did you spend in the misted area?
Did anyone playing an electric instrument experience a shock hazard of any kind?
Any serious information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
