Senior rhythm/lead guitarist

Married and mature (retired!) rhythm/lead guitarist here. No formal training (play by ear) but competent enough to have accumulated many years of stage experience playing in part-time, weekend bands. Nowhere near ready to be planted in the ground, so I would love to find a group of other similar, experienced players (bass, keys or another guitar, drums, lead vocalist) to form a for-fun, “variety/dance” type band. Primarily would love to target “private” gigs like bull roasts, the yacht club scene, benefits, weddings, etc., etc., along with an occasional bar/nightclub here and there, and play like maybe 2X/month. But mainly I’m just seeking the fun of establishing some new connections and friendships with other similar minded players. Open-minded to playing “feel-good” music from any genre ranging from the ‘40’s to present day (assuming of course, that I/we can credibly pull it off). If this sounds interesting, let’s talk. Thanks!
