Students for free street training will have completed statutorily required certification training through a California Department of Insurance Approved and Peace Officers Standards and Training certification course as follows: Insurance Code §1810.7, Penal Code 832 40 Hours Powers of Arrest. Minimum age is 18, and 21 and older is suggested. Students must be drug free, pass a background, and with no felony convictions. Students should have good transportation, flexible availability, and supported by family is important. Mandatory safety equipment is as follows: body armor, duty belt, retention holster, tan pants, black polo shirt, black boots, flashlight, handcuffs & holster, radio holder, and personally owned 2A protection device. Field trips will be undertaken during this training in the following counties: Sacramento, San Joaquin, Alameda, Stanislaus, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and wherever the courses of study lead. Long hours are probable, so only folks serious about this training course should consider undertaking the training.
