Wanted – General Maintenance/handy man/woman Two Motels in Newport NH. We are in need of someone local to do general maintenance for our 2 motels in Newport NH. This position could be filled by someone who already has a full time job and would like to do something extra on nights and/or weekends. For the most part, what we need done can be taken care of after 5 pm or weekends, but if you are available during the day that would be great! We need someone who is reliable, dependable and won’t make excuses as to why they can’t come to do the job. We need things taken care of asap. Example, if an issue comes up during the day, we will need it taken care of before the next morning. Projects such as painting doors can be planned for the weekend. Examples of things that need to be taken care of………………………. Changing around picture frames/furniture. Changing batteries in smoke alarms, unclogging sinks or toilets, light electrical. Sanding and painting bathtubs occasionally, replacing bathroom calking, Fixing broken furniture, filling salt buckets in winter, shoveling pathways in winter, occasional painting of a room, painting doors, unlocking a room if a guest gets locked out. Occasionally overseeing the front desk in emergency. Pressure washing of building yearly. If you can install linoleum floors, that would be a big plus! We need someone who has their own transportation, their own tools, and a willingness to do whatever comes up. Also, we need someone who works/moves along at a decent speed. We aren’t looking for speed work, but we need someone that doesn’t drag it out and has a bit of hustle. General maintenance/handy man/woman for Hilltop can be started immediately. General maintenance/handy man/woman for Newport Motel can be started around August 6. Note* We hire out lawn mowing and plowing, so these would not be needed. We pay $17 per hour.
