Job Description We are currently seeking a maintenance technician to join our company. Ideal candidate will have over five years of professional maintenance experience. This candidate will be able to work with little to no supervision and be able to get jobs done in a timely fashion. Candidate understands he will work within a budget and has the ability to plan and execute jobs. Candidate should be able to perform maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, appliance installation, flooring installation, kitchen and bathroom remodel, and various daily tenant maintenance requests. This is a full time work position with a rotating weekend schedule for emergency phone handling. All work is within a two mile radius of the main office located near Regent Square, Frick Park, Edgewood, Swissvale, and Wilkinsburg areas. Candidate should live within forty-five minutes of Frick Park. Required to have a van or truck and tools (basic hand and power tools) and pass a background check. Must be able to carry 80 pounds up four flights and climb a ladder 40 feet. Must be able to schedule jobs and follow through, order materials and pick them up. No travel and no lay-offs, we work all year. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Experienced carpenter expert • Make ordinary concrete floor and wood repairs • Install ceramic tile, laminate flooring, drywall, appliances, etc. • Renovation of full kitchens and bathrooms • Renovation of older homes to ensure safe rental properties • Intermediate knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems • HVAC experience • Make lists of materials needed for current and future projects • Patch and paint walls, has experience with plaster • Interact with Supervisors and tenants on a daily basis • Good physical condition and strength • Necessary power tools and equipment • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Pay and Benefits offered • Starting pay rate at $23 • Signing bonus of $2000 after 90 days of employment • Paid time off and paid holidays • Paid gas allowance on duty • 6 percent bonus of entire salary after one year of employment • No health insurance • Performance review after 90 days with possible bonus Minimum Qualifications -Valid U.S. Drivers License -Has 1 year of relevant experience -Reliable transportation to get to and from work -Must have a positive attitude and good work ethic -Must be able to carry 50-80 pounds -Background check required
